CRN Poland Features SupremeRAID™ in "Innovations In The World of Data"

"SupremeRAID™ not only delivers maximum performance from SSDs, but also increases performance by using multiple carriers in one RAID — all without straining the processor.”

December 7, 2022 (CRN.pl) — SSD performance is evolving too quickly to be fully utilized by available storage architectures: For example in NVMe technology, where changes are progressing so dynamically that RAID-based on ASIC cannot provide complete media efficiency, says Thomas Paquette, Senior Vice President at Graid Technology.

The startup's response to the above is the SupremeRAID™ — a unique GPU-based RAID, which allows you to get max-SSD performance for very high loads carried out by  all-flash media or HPC (High-Performance Computing). The solution is designed with Linux and Windows operating systems in mind, and supports RAID 0/1/5/6/10.

There are many SSD NVMe drives on the market for data centers but starting them in a RAID array is impossible without loss of performance. Some are trying to solve this problem by using special software, but this in turn puts a strain on the CPU. Meanwhile Graid Technology changes the usual simple Nvidia graphics into a super-fast controller RAID. SupremeRAID™ not only delivers maximum performance from SSDs, but also increases performance by using multiple carriers in one RAID — and all without straining the processor.
